The Conductivity Analyzer HK-307 & DDS-307 is for laboratory & HK-338 Conductivity analyzer is for ON-Line conductivity analyzer & it measures conductivity in both potable water and municipal wastewater effluents. It offers reliable and accurate on-line & portable analysis of conductivity. Conductivity measurements give indication of contamination of water with any kind of salts. These salts can get added to the water from atmosphere or due to leakages in heat exchangers etc. The conductivity analysis of ultra pure water is almost close to zero(say 1..2microsiemens/cm), while with addition of even 1ppm of any salt, the conductivity can shoot up to even more than 100microsiemens/cm. Thus conductivity is a very good general purpose watch dog which can give a quick indication of plant malfunctioning or possible leakages.
It is important to measure conductivity at all strategic points in the steam circuit, as it gives a first warning of contamination of feed water or condensate as the case may be.
