Description

Crane duty motors are specialized AC induction motors designed for intermittent, high-torque applications involving frequent starting, stopping, and reversing, such as in hoists, conveyors, and overhead cranes. They are built to withstand heavy mechanical stress, typically featuring Class F insulation (often limited to Class B rise) and IP55 protection. These motors are rated for specific duties (S3, S4, or S5) with high starting torque and low starting current.
